This project “Between Heaven and Earth”, explores female experiences as scars and fresh wounds in need of healing. I explored the unconscious and conscious mind through the lenses of archetypes, mythology, symbolism, and philosophy. Intertwining these themes with personal, experiences, focused on the inner world. Depicting a loop of memories that lose their colour before fading into nothingness.

The oil paintings invite you to reflect on which memories you wish to let go of, to move forward in your life’s purpose. This narrative is captured through four oil paintings, two figurative watercolours, and a nine-page oversized poem. The Yin-Yang sculpture embodies the balance needed after facing the shadows of others and the self. You are welcome to interact with the sculpture with a hug or a touch, this is to symbolise that while everyone has good and bad days, we all need to balance and share true colours - a heartbeat and a soul.

The installation suggests that embracing one’s authentic self is the path forward, contrasted by the imagination of a new beginning within the Cosmos (a crocheted installation). This work aims to inspire your own imagination, dreams, hopes, and the importance of a new beginning.
